Giulio Cappellini debuts new designs in Dubai

As a British expat living amid a melting pot of nationalities I get asked where I’m from all the time. However, the person asking doesn’t usually comment that they’ve met the queen of my home country, England. Of course, it’s not surprising that Giulio Cappellini has been honoured with an invitation to meet Queen Elizabeth, as he is the king of contemporary furniture himself. However, he is modest about this when we meet at the Poltrona Frau Group showroom opposite the new Dubai Opera in Downtown Dubai. At the showroom, Mr Cappellini talked us through his new book, “A Performing Dream”, which details many inspirations, travels and stories throughout is life, and walked us through a number of new designs that have been touring the world since being revealed at Milan’s Salone del Mobile in April 2016. We’ll publish the full interview soon, but for now feast your eyes on these soon-to-be-iconic Cappellini designs:
